September

Sorry for the big gap in posting, we had some very sad news recently and spent last weekend at home for a family funeral, I won’t go into that though – instead let’s have a round up of two more jolly events.

Last month we went to Bestival – the first festival I had been to for SIX YEARS! I had almost forgotten how much fun they are and my god was it worth the wait! We went with the wonderful Hannah Wood and were met there by the rest of our dream team: Leona, Esme and two Amy’s neither of which I had met before but both of whom were lovely.
Suffice to say it was utterly fantastic and we all had far too much fun. We met up with LIPS for disco and dancing, saw them perform on the main stage (albeit at an unholy hour), dressed up fantastically, saw fantastic bands and came out of it all happily ruined. Highlights included Candi Staton, Major Lazer, Ed Solo, Outkast, Basement Jaxx and of course the incredible CHIC – complete with bubbles, confetti, fireworks, vast inflatable balls and the worlds biggest ever disco ball. Dreamy.

The next weekend we went to Wadhurst to visit our lovely and incredibly talented friend Paul Jackson at his latest exhibition at the Wing gallery. Beautiful paintings and fantastic as always to see the Jacksons. Nick spent the evening chatting planes with Paul and today to our delight we received the most wonderful parcel in the post; two beautiful paintings of Paul’s! Here they are in all their glory (or at least some of it – photo isn’t great quality and really doesn’t do them justice!) we feel like the luckiest pair alive! You can see more of his work here.
